  • Beyond Beauty: Traditionally valued for its anti-inflammatory effects, it can help relieve muscle pain, reduce swelling, and is indicated for conditions like bruises and rheumatism.
  • In Formulations: A valuable addition to soap formulations, enhancing moisturizing properties and creating a creamy lather that leaves skin hydrated after washing.

Unique Properties & Rich Composition

  • Nutrient-Dense: A rich source of essential fatty acids including Oleic, Palmitic, Myristic, and Linoleic acids, vital for skin and hair health. It also contains unique non-fatty components like triterpenes, tannins, and alkaloids such as andirobin and carapine, contributing to its remarkable efficacy.
  • Sensory Experience: This viscous liquid is yellowish in color and possesses a characteristic herbal, slightly bitter, and woody aroma. It may become pasty at low temperatures (below 40°C), melting beautifully upon skin contact.
  • Purity: 100% pure, natural, and wild-harvested for uncompromising quality.

Functional Profile

Andiroba oil is a rich source of essential fatty acids, including oleic, palmitic, myristic, and linoleic acids. It also contains non-fatty components such as triterpenes, tannins, and isolated alkaloids like andirobin and carapine. The bitterness of andiroba oil is attributed to a group of terpenes known as meliacins, which are chemically similar to the bitter compounds used in antimalarial treatments. One of these meliacins, gedunin, has recently been documented to have antiparasitic and antimalarial properties similar to quinine. Chemical analyses of andiroba oil have identified anti-inflammatory, healing, and insect-repellent properties, which are mainly attributed to the presence of limonoids, particularly andirobin.

Our Commitment

Our Andiroba Oil is sourced with deep respect for the Amazon and its communities. The seeds are sustainably harvested and cold-pressed directly within traditional Brazilian communities in Pará, through our partnership with the Camtauá / CoFruta cooperative. This practice ensures regenerative harvesting, sustainable agro-extractivism, and supports community-based agro-industry production. Carbon Negative Impact: Choose a product that actively benefits our planet. For every 1 kg of Andiroba Oil produced, an estimated 3.1 kg of CO₂ is sequestered, a testament to its sustainable lifecycle and validated by an independent study from RegenIntel.
